Well, it is another gloomy day. I could not believe it yesterday, I hung the washing out, then John and I walked to Johns parents, then the local shopping centre for groceries, and the Heavens opened, we got drenched, and when we came home, I got the washing in and it was more soaked than when I hung it out, so I spent all night drying it in the tumble.
My mam enjoyed herself here last night, and Jade came again and stayed the night, I gave Jade a book to read 'Bergdorf Blondes' and she is simply engrossed, bless.
I am going to do the housework, get tidied up, then I think my dad is calling in for a while. We are not going to the camera club tonight, we are having a break from it.
I am really hoping my books get delivered today, I love it when the post man drops a package through our letter box, I run to the door, tear open the package and get all excited with what's inside, feels a bit like Christmas morning, lol.
I hope all you ladies have a wonderful Friday.
Take care all.

Well its sunny and dry here. Which was nice as I had to be out early for my interview. And good God, talk about a car crash. I couldn't wait to get out. Terribly overblown for a temp job. I doubt I'll be hearing from them again.
Anyway, I need to run a few errands and try to think what to make for supper. Have a great day ladies! _________________ A Cosy Life

I don't believe it, I was washing the second load of washing for the day, when our washer started making an awful noise, we ran in the kitchen and saw that the rubber inside was hanging off, so we quickly stopped the cycle, the washing was soaking as it did not spin off (I've hung it out, hoping it will dry). The washer is still under guarantee, so John phoned the company we got it from, and they are coming out next Friday to fix it, they may come before that if they have any spare appointments. I hope they do come out earlier as I always have loads of washing to do, what a nightmare!
I have done all the housework, and now I am going to pluck my eye brows (they really need doing), then write in my diary. John is going in the garden to take photos of Jade for her model portfolio, she is such a pretty girl and wants to be a model, good job her uncle is a photographer, lol.
My dad should be here soon. I did not sleep well last night and am very tired today. I may have a nap later, if I find the time.
Take care all. |

Ack! The washer is defo one appliance I can't manage without. I did it a couple of years ago for about a month. Our old washer had the biscuit and it took a month for the new one to arrive. I took the laundry in small batches, by bus (we don't have a car) to the nearest laundrette. Of which there's few anymore. I hope yours gets fixed pronto Mel.
I hear you about being tired. We didn't get a lot of sleep last night either so I'm thinking a cat nap this afternoon is a good idea. The sun is shining in the skylight windows so its lovely and warm.
Happy dreams! _________________ A Cosy Life

| Last year our old washer broke, and we went ages without one. Johns parents and my parents kindly did our washer for us until we moved in here and got our latest washer, it is not even a year old yet, and it is broke. I really hope they can fix it quickly as I need my washer! |

Good Morning ladies
I'm in a happy, sad, okay, bitter , confused mood....do you think it might be my hormones????LOL
One minute I'm fine, the next I think I could rip a building down. I think some of this may have to do with just being tired and too much to do. Last year around the first of Sept. I had a full blown anxiety attack so I need to be careful. I don't want to take the drugs they gave me or then I'd be comatose. Ya can't win.
I made a coffee cake, it's in the oven now and I was going to give it to some people, but the heck with it it's going somewhere else less complicated.
My washer is on its last leg so to speak, I really should get a new one now, but I have too many other things standing in line ahead of it to do.
I must have missed my ship when it came in. Dang.
Have a great day ladies, and I think I may just have a nap too....sure couldn't hurt... _________________ Barbara |

Hey Barb
I get like that too, happy one minute, sad the next, I blame it on my hormones, lol.
Coffee cake sounds so good, I could just eat a slice (or 2) of that, yum.
My dad has just left. John has took the photos of Jade so Jades dad (Johns brother) will be picking her up soon.
Im going to get the (hopefully) dry washing in now then have a bath.
I am so exhausted.
Take Care All. |

Good morning! Just dropped off my six year old at summer camp--today they're going to the rollerskating rink. I remember those days going rollerskating. Doing the Hokey Pokey and getting whacked in the face by the hand of a girl next to me as we spun around in a big circle, couples only where very often you see a couple wipe out as 'romantic' disco music blared--mostly Leo Sayer's "When I need You" playing...Haha, old memories!
Got another visitor coming to stay with us for a few days so I got to get the house inorder. Sometimes I feel as if I'm running a hotel.
Ali I know what you mean about interviews. These days interviews are so complicated--more like a personality test than a competence test. I remember sitting what seemed like hours answering questions about how I take criticism from co workers, etc...
Melanie--sorry to hear about your washer. I didn't realize how much I depend on my washer until mine broke down completely about 2 years ago.
Barb--I hear you on the hormonal ups and downs. I'm PMSing, or PMTing right now big time. I know for me diet and exercise makes a difference and I hadn't been eating that well nor exercising as much as I should. Oh the joys of being a woman...*sigh*
Hope you all have a great day.
