Got insects in your cupboards? Want to keep the kitchen garbage bin smelling clean?
A drop or two of thyme oil (I use red thyme) on a cotton pad tucked into the corners of cupboards, especially those where you store your dry goods or in the botton of bins, does the trick. Insects hate thyme and will avoid it. Its a powerful antibacterial too.
Some studies done put TB bacclli in a dish with thyme oil. The bacteria was dead in under 15 minutes. Use it, diluted in warm water, to disinfect chopping boards and any surface where raw meat is prepared.
I'm going to do a series of posts on the Moon Garden blog highlighting various essential oils. Feel free to drop by.
